In a ceremony held in the Science and Technology Faculty of the New Univertity (Universidade Nova) of Lisbon, at Caparica, João Murta Pina defended his PhD Work entitled:
Design and Modelling of Power Systems Using High Temperature Superconductors.
The candidate explained the work for 30 minutes and then, discussed with the Jury about the details for 2 and a half hours, getting brilliantly the PhD degree .

Congratulation to the new Doctor João Murta Pina and to his scientific supervisors Dr. Leão Rodrigues and Dr. Ventim Neves.
